The City of Joy, Kolkata is known for its diversity of people, culture, customs and traditions. • Victoria Memorial - Victoria Memorial is one of the best places to visit in Kolkata. It is an iconic luxurious white marbled structure build in the memory of Queen Victoria which was opened for the public in 1921. The 184 feet structure over 64 acres of land hold some finest collections of paintings, lithographs, historical documents and artefacts.

• Indian Museum - Indian Museum is considered as the oldest museum of the country. It was founded by the Asiatic society of Bengal in Kolkata in 1814. Being the ninth oldest museums in the world, it holds wide collections of Mughal paintings, armours, ornaments, fossils, antiques, etc.

• Zoological Garden - The Alipore Zoological Garden is an oldest zoo in India established in 1876 as a project of Indian Natural History by Richard Wellesley. It became the first formal zoo of India being a home to animals belonging to more than 108 different species.

• Eco Tourism Park - The Eco park also known as Prakriti Tirtha is an ideal tourist place surrounded by 103 acres of water body like an island.
